THE BEELMAN'S BOTTLE SHOP

We are currently able to offer a lineup of bottled liquors, liqueurs, amari, wine and beer for to go. Items in this section are priced as they would be in a craft bottle shop or "liquor store" and are only available to be purchased and taken away in this format and pricing.

We've received some questions on bottle sizes. A 750ml is what you most often find at the grocery store and liquor stores. A 1000ml, or Litre, is 25% larger and is most often what bars and restaurants use when available.

LOS JAVIS ESPADIN - $40 (STAFF PICK)

750ml -
Not gonna lie, we love everything Los Javis makes and keep a running rotation of their expressions behind the bar, we make sure we always have their Espadin in stock. A sweet, floral nose with a little bit of earthiness the flavors are all citrus oils and a noticeable salinity. This is a prize no matter what bar it sits in.

RIAZUL ANEJO  - $60 (STAFF PICK)

750ml - Simply beautiful anejo. Smells like espresso spiked with amaretto, tastes like chai, buttered toffee and cinnamon. Have it with a rock and let the world melt away.

BANDERO BLANCO - $38

750ml - Toffee and cake on the nose, unique for a blanco. Moves into a mildly fruity, medium bodied sip with chai spices on the finish. We like this one neat or on a single rock. But, you can drink it however you like.

CASAMIGOS BLANCO - $60

1000ml - Made from agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco and true to form for highlands tequila it's citrusy sweet on the nose and bursts with bright grapefruit notes in the mouth.

CASAMIGOS REPOSADO - $65

1000ml - 7 months in American Oak barrels results on cocoa aromas and dried fruit flavors. The flavors make for a beautiful margarita.

CASAMIGOS ANEJO - $70

1000ml - Anejo's frequently creep closer to whiskey or brandy flavors and this is no exception. Big vanilla on the nose from the American whiskey barrels and oak and spiced caramel on the tongue.

DEL MAGUEY VIDA - $38

750ml - If you enjoy Mezcal and aren't from Mexico then you have Ron Cooper to thank whether you know it or not. He's the renowned artist and agave visionary who introduced the world to previously unavailable 100% organic, artisanal Mezcal produced the original, handcrafted way. The company he founded, Del Maguey, was the first to credit each product as from the village where it is produced. Vida has rich smoke flavor with mild sweetness. While it can be sipped this particular Mezcal shines best in cocktails. Like Mezcal Margaritas? This is your baby.

DON JULIO BLANCO - $55

1000ml - Needs no introduction as one of the world's best selling premium tequilas but it would be rude not to. The ultra premium tequilas that dominated the mid-2000s were mainly prized for not tasting like the rot gut stuff you slammed in college. (Come to one of our Tequila classes some time and we'll talk about why we hate mixtos and why you should as well) This is what made Don Julio so popular, it's lightly citrusy, clean and dry. We skip this for margaritas and instead pour it over crushed ice with a bit of fresh lime and cracked black pepper. (Don't be afraid to sub it in place of rum as a Mojito, our beverage director swears he lived on these for 3 days in Ohio once)

EL SILENCIO MEZCAL - 40

750ml - Produced in Oaxaca and headquartered in Santa Monica. There's a little mustiness and funk to the liquid and that's what we like about it. But be aware there aren't any really discernable fruit notes here, it's all earthiness, not that that's a bad thing.

HORNITOS PLATA - $30

1000ml - Floral and fruity nose with super bright citrus and green agave flavors. This tequila screams "paloma" to us.

ILEGAL MEZCAL - $35

750ml - Ilegal get it's name from its origins when the owner of Cafe No Se in Guatemala would smuggle mezcal from different Oaxacan villages in for his bar, it grew so popular he formed a company. This is a "low smoke" Mezcal with lovely green apple and citrus notes and lots of minerality.

OLEMCA ALTOS PLATA - $28

1000ml - A favorite of bartenders everywhere who prize it for its balance and ability to shine on its own or in a variety of cocktails. The herbaceous nose gives way to big citrus lemon and lime flavors with a long, agave-green finish

OLMECA ALTOS REPOSADO - $30

1000ml - The citrus from the base Plata still come through on the nose and palate but are now accompanied by orange and vanilla with  a noticeable woody undercurrent.

RUM

All Prices Include Tax

RHUM J.M. BLANC - $35

1000ml - 110 proof agricole rum from Martinique. Agricole rums are produced from pressed cane juice as opposed to molasses which results in a much greener, funkier product. Too big on their own for most people palates, at least to begin with, they can add a beautifully complex layer to your Mai Tai or Daiquiri. This one is all pineapple and sweet green aromas to start, take a sip and it blooms into intense green earthy flavors and deeply tangy citrus.

PLANTATION 3 STAR - $20

1000ml - A blend of three rums from Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad, each contributing something distinct in perfect harmony. This is a rum that is always in our homebar, the stuff that gets poured not measured. Smells like brown sugar vanilla, and graham cracker. Tastes is light bodied with dark chocolate flavors and custard and finishes grassy and clean.

PLANTATION DARK RUM - $19

1000ml - Jamaican and Barbados rums blended producing notes of cherry pie and molasses on the first sniff and smoky, spicy dried fruit flavors that dry out on the finish.

GOSLING'S BLACK SEAL - $28
